Privacy Policy

Seroa (“we”, “us”, the “App”) is a private companion for couples. We built Seroa privacy-first: we do not run ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and a user identifier, when you sign in (including Sign in with Apple or Google). Used to create and secure your account.
- Profile — nickname, optional bio, gender, birth date, and an avatar (an emoji by default, or a photo you choose to upload).
- Couple & planning data — your pairing with a partner, planned dates, occurrences, reminders, and related notes you create.
- Cycle data (sensitive) — if you use the cycle features: period dates, predicted ovulation and fertile windows. This is personal health information and is treated as sensitive.
- Device & technical data — basic information needed to deliver notifications and keep the App working (e.g. a notification token, app version).
How we use your information
We use your information only to provide the App’s functionality: to run your account, sync data between you and your partner, generate predictions and guidance, deliver reminders, and keep the service secure. We do not use it for advertising, profiling for ads, or third-party analytics.
What is shared with your partner — and what is not
When you are paired in a couple space, plans, occurrences and shared reports are visible to both partners. Your cycle data is private to you and is never shown to your partner. Conception-mode hints are optional and consent-based; even then, your raw cycle data is not shared.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) — account sign-in and encrypted data storage/sync.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage and delivery of avatar images you upload.
These providers process your data solely to provide their services to us.
Storage, security & retention
Your data is stored in your account and encrypted in transit. We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our active systems; backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Health data (Apple HealthKit)
If you choose to sync period data to Apple Health, that data is handled under Apple’s HealthKit rules. We never use Health data for advertising and never share it with third parties.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile in the App, leave a couple space, and request deletion of your account and data at any time — see Delete account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Seroa is intended for adults (rated 17+). It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required in their region.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App.
